New Procedures for Sealed Filings in Effect: Service Through CM/ECF No Longer Available

To improve the security of sealed filings, the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts in Washington, D.C. has implemented new procedures to prevent sealed filings from being accessed or viewed electronically in the federal judiciary's Case Management / Electronic Case Files (CM/ECF) system. As a result, sealed filings no longer will be served through CM/ECF. Instead, parties must serve sealed filings through a different means authorized by the Federal Rules of Procedure (but attorneys authorized to practice in the Northern District of Georgia are to continue filing sealed documents [except for highly sensitive documents] using CM/ECF). More information is available in Standing Order 25-02 available here.

Questions may be directed to the clerk's office docketing section at 404-215-1655.
