A New Era: Monumental Sports Network Announces Mystics Broadcast Team Featuring Play-by-Play Voice Dorian Craft for 2026 Season

Christy Winters Scott returns for 17thseason as color analyst; Juliana Morgan joins as full-time Mystics sideline reporter

Washington, D.C. (April 20, 2026) - Monumental Sports Network (MNMT) today announced a new era for its Washington Mystics broadcast coverage, headlined by the addition of veteran play-by-play announcer Dorian Craft. Craft will serve as the lead voice of Mystics basketball on MNMT, alongside returning color analyst Christy Winters Scott and new sideline reporter Juliana Morgan.

MNMT will once again provide comprehensive coverage of Mystics basketball throughout the 2026 season, as the team celebrates its 28th year of existence within the league's 30-year history. The team's 2026 local broadcast schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.

"Dorian is an exceptional talent with a proven track record across major stages in sports broadcasting," said Friday Abernethy, General Manager at MNMT. "Her energy, versatility, and command of the game make her a perfect fit to lead our Mystics coverage, and her early career roots in Hagerstown further strengthen her connection to the market. We're also excited to elevate Juliana into a larger on-air role after she has already demonstrated a strong connection with our fans and our organization."

A dynamic and accomplished broadcaster, Craft brings more than a decade of experience across multiple roles, including play-by-play announcer, anchor, reporter, host, and analyst. She joins the Mystics following an extensive national and collegiate broadcasting career that has seen her call men's and women's basketball, pickleball, volleyball, softball, tennis, and beach volleyball.

Craft began her career in 2013 as a sports reporter in Hagerstown, Md., and went on to hold positions in Lexington, Ky.; Little Rock, Ar.; and Toledo, Oh., where she served as Sports Director. She transitioned into live game broadcasting in 2016 and became a full-time play-by-play announcer in 2022.

Her national work includes women's basketball broadcasts on ACC Network and ESPNU, as well as professional pickleball coverage on ESPN, CBS Sports Network, and Fox Sports 1. In 2025, she was named the lead play-by-play voice for the Association of Pickleball Players (APP). During the 2024-25 athletic year, Craft called multiple conference championships across volleyball and women's basketball, as well as the inaugural Big 12 beach volleyball championship and the 2024 USA Pickleball Nationals.

"I'm incredibly honored and excited to be named the play-by-play voice of the Washington Mystics," said Craft. "To return to my broadcast roots in a region that helped shape my career makes this opportunity especially meaningful. To join a storied franchise like the Mystics at such a transformational time in the WNBA is truly special, and I'm thrilled to be at the forefront of one of the most exciting and promising teams in the league."

Morgan joins the broadcast team as sideline reporter after serving as a multimedia journalist, on-camera talent, and social/digital producer at MNMT since 2024. In her expanded role, she will provide in-game reporting, player interviews, and behind-the-scenes storytelling throughout the season.

University of Maryland Hall of Famer and fan favorite Christy Winters Scott returns for her 17th season as color analyst for the Mystics, bringing her signature insight, energy, and deep connection to the game back to fans for another exciting year.

Mystics games on MNMT will be available to local fans both on linear tv and via streaming platforms within the network's coverage area, stretching from Richmond to Delaware. Hoops fans can watch the games through their TV provider, on monumentalplus.com, or by downloading the Monumental+ app on iOS, Android, Apple TV, Chromecast, DIRECTV, Fire TV, Roku, Samsung, X1, and Xfinity Xumo and using an eligible TV Everywhere log-in.
