Rep. Fallon Statement in Response to House Intelligence Committee Passage of FY26 IAA

Washington, D.C.--
In response to the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence's passage of the Fiscal Year 2026 Intelligence Appropriations Act, Rep. Pat Fallon (TX-04) , issued the following statement:

"The House Intelligence Committee's passage of the fiscal year 2026 Intelligence Authorization Act is a major step in the right direction towards restoring the American people's trust in the intelligence community.

"At the same time, this bill will refocus the intelligence community (IC) on its zero-fail mission-defend the homeland-by implementing much needed reforms to eliminate partisanship and reinforce analytic objectivity. Additionally, this bill will direct the IC to make better use of Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) and harden its cyber networks to counter evolving threats.

"We must continue to pursue such innovative approaches in the interest of US national security."
