New Fire Engine Joins Richton Park's Fleet

The Richton Park Fire Department is excited to announce the arrival of a new, custom-built fire engine. This 2025 Alexis fire engine, designed specifically for our community, is now a key part of our emergency vehicle fleet. This new apparatus replaces an older engine and brings a number of modern features to enhance our service and the safety of our firefighters.

The new engine was built with firefighter safety and operational efficiency in mind. Key features include:

  • Easier Access: A lower hose bed and a bumper-integrated extrication compartment ensure quick and easy access to essential tools and equipment at the scene of an emergency.
  • Green Technology: An electrical compartment for all our battery-powered tools is a step toward a more sustainable and environmentally friendly fleet.
  • Enhanced Safety: Firefighters will benefit from new headsets for hearing protection and an enhanced passenger compartment designed with their safety in mind.
  • Improved Storage: The engine's design includes a significant increase in compartment space, allowing us to carry all the necessary tools and equipment to effectively respond to a wide range of incidents.

This addition is a major investment in our community's safety and our department's capabilities. We are proud to have this new engine serving the residents of Richton Park.
