Nicklaus Children's Young Ambassadors (NCYA) - a group of young professionals committed to supporting Nicklaus Children's, hosted their 12th annual Fashion Gives Back fundraiser where over $320,000 was raised. This year's event, sponsored by ALEXIS, immersed guests in a world where fashion meets purpose, featuring stunning designs inspired by artwork created by Nicklaus Children's patients.
The event hosted at the Bass Museum of Art in Miami Beach featured dynamic opportunities for guests to create designs and share their purpose and connections behind giving to Nicklaus Children's.
Born with a congenital heart defect, Madison shared her journey as a Nicklaus Children's Heart Institute patient who received open heart surgery at just five days old. Now a 20-year-old nursing student and Miss Miami pageant contestant, Madison has grown to be a resilient woman and a testament to the power of world-class pediatric care.
"Madison is just one example of the level of care our medical professionals at each institute have put into treating the children in our community for the last 75 years," said Allison W. Baker, President of Nicklaus Children's Hospital Foundation. "NCYA's support of Nicklaus Children's allows us to continue to provide the highest level of care to our community and to shape the future of pediatric healthcare.
All proceeds from the event directly benefit Nicklaus Children's specialty institutes and service areas which serve close to 70 percent of children in the Miami metropolitan community. Fashion Gives Back has received generous support this year from title sponsor ALEXIS as well as sponsors Inktel, Devon Windsor, The Bostany Law firm PLLC, Ferraro Law, The Goldstrich Family, Insigneo, KLA Academy, KLA Schools, Kore Insurance, Lorient Capital, Terra and Think Hospitality.
NCYA has helped raise more than $2.4 million for Nicklaus Children's over the past 12 years. NCYA members work collaboratively with Nicklaus Children's Hospital Foundation to create awareness in the community and raise significant funds to support patients and families.
