Minister Shahin Bids Farewell to Denmark's Ambassador to Palestine

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Varsen Shahin met with Denmark's Ambassador to Palestine, Sigurd Halling, on the occasion of the conclusion of his mission, commending his efforts in strengthening Palestinian-Danish relations.

Minister Shahin expressed appreciation for Denmark's continued support for the Palestinian people, particularly its steadfast backing of UNRWA. She also called on Denmark to recognize the State of Palestine as a step toward safeguarding the two-state solution and achieving a just and lasting peace.

The two sides discussed current priorities, including securing a sustainable ceasefire in Gaza, releasing withheld Palestinian clearance revenues, and addressing ongoing settler violence and violations against the Palestinian people.

Ambassador Halling reaffirmed Denmark's support for the two-state solution and the rights of the Palestinian people, while commending the Palestinian government's reform efforts and commitment to strengthening governance and national institutions.
