West Orange, NJ - To further support its commitment to delivering a consistent and positive patient experience, RWJBarnabas Health has implemented standardized visiting hours across its acute-care hospitals effective February 2, 2026. Under the updated guidelines, general visiting hours for all RWJBarnabas Health adult acute-care hospitals will be held 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week. Our children's hospitals, the Behavioral Health Center and the Jack & Sheryl Morris Cancer Center follow their own visiting hour guidelines, which are tailored to the needs of their patient populations. Additionally, visiting hours for specific units may vary.
When medically appropriate, exceptions to standard visiting hours such as end-of-life care, visitors of patients in the intensive care unit (ICU), parents/guardians of pediatric patients, disabled patients with caregivers, and the care partner program can be granted to accommodate unique patient and caregiver needs. Patients and families are encouraged to speak with their care team during a hospital stay to discuss individual circumstances.
