ADVISORY - MONTGOMERY COUNTY - Governor and First Lady Shapiro to Tour Elmwood Park Zoo
Governor Josh Shapiro and First Lady Lori Shapiro will visit the Elmwood Park Zoo in Montgomery County with local leaders to tour the new animal hospital and welcome center, supported by Commonwealth funding. In 2025, the zoo welcomed nearly 1.3 million visitors.
Since taking office, Governor Shapiro has supported construction of the 32,000 square foot EPZ welcome center and veterinary hospital, one of the largest and most advanced exotic animal care facilities in the nation, with a $3 million Redevelopment Assistance Capital Award (RACP).
