Community members now have a new online resource to learn about regional homelessness response efforts in Garden Grove, Fountain Valley and Westminster with the launch of centralcitiesoc.org, the official website for the Central Cities Collaboration.
"Homelessness does not stop at city borders, and neither can our response," said Garden Grove Mayor Stephanie Klopfenstein. "Centralcitiesoc.org gives our communities one clear place to learn about the Central Cities Collaboration, understand how the Navigation Center works and connect people to the appropriate resources."
Created as a shared information hub, the website brings together information about shelter access, supportive services, regional resources, program outcomes and opportunities for the public to stay informed and support local homelessness response efforts.
"Strong partnerships and open communication are essential to addressing homelessness effectively. This website provides residents with a trusted source of information about our regional efforts while demonstrating how Fountain Valley, Garden Grove and Westminster are working together to connect people with resources and long-term solutions," said Fountain Valley Mayor Jim Cunneen.
Formalized in 2022, the Central Cities Collaboration reflects a regional approach to addressing homelessness through shared resources, coordinated services and long-term housing-focused solutions. Garden Grove, Fountain Valley and Westminster jointly support the Central Cities Navigation Center, with support from the County of Orange and on-site services provided by Volunteers of America Los Angeles.
"Addressing homelessness requires collaboration, coordination, and a shared commitment from our communities," said Westminster Mayor Chi Charlie Nguyen. "The Central Cities Collaboration website provides residents with a convenient resource to better understand our regional efforts, learn about available services, and see how our cities are working together to support individuals experiencing homelessness."
The launch of the website also advances key goals of Garden Grove's 2025-2030 Homelessness Strategy, including enhancing communication and community engagement, strengthening the Tri-Cities collaboration through unified messaging, improving access to service information and supporting a more coordinated regional system of care.
