JOHNSON COUNTY - The Missouri Department of Transportation be closing the left lane on U.S. Highway 50 eastbound and westbound between Johnson County Route P and Missouri Highway 23 from Monday., Sept. 29 until Saturday, Nov. 1. Crews will be constructing crossovers in the median that will be utilized during the US-50 westbound bridge rehabilitation project over Clear Creek. That project is scheduled to begin in 2026. All work is weather permitting.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can also be short-term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
