NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC AND REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
ADL 422877 GOLDEN VALLEY ELECTRIC ASSOCIATION

Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Northern Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: GOLDEN VALLEY ELECTRIC ASSOCIATION

PROJECT NAME: ADL 422877 PUE Big Delta State Historical Park

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Big Delta State Historical Park

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Section 8 of Township 9 South, Range 10 East, Fairbanks Meridian

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: The Division of Mining, Land, and Water (DMLW), Northern Regional Land Office (NRO) has received an application from Golden Valley Electric Association (GVEA) for a public utility easement (PUE) to construct, operate, and maintain a distribution power line in the Big Delta State Historical Park (near Rika's Landing building). The easement would measure approximately 240 feet in length and 30 feet in width, more or less, and cross state land, to the adjacent Whitestone boat launch property.

REQUESTED TERM: GVEA has requested the term of the easement be in perpetuity as is standard for public utility easements issued by DMLW.

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: July 31, 2026

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at 3700 Airport Way, Fairbanks, AK 99709 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.

The DMLW reserves the right to waive technical defects in this notice.
