Macon Christmas Light Extravaganza announces 10th anniversary logo & ornament

From The Macon Christmas Light Extravaganza - The Macon Christmas Light Extravaganza is proud to share our 10th anniversary logo. The 2026-2027 season of the Macon Christmas Light Extravaganza will mark 10 years of Bryan Nichols' dream of lighting up downtown Macon with Christmas lights. With more than 1,000,000 lights synced to music by the Macon Pops, the Macon Christmas Light Extravaganza brings old-fashioned Christmas fun for FREE to Macon residents and visitors alike.

Last season of the Macon Christmas Light Extravaganza brought more than 723,000 non-residents to downtown Macon and had an estimated economic impact of $7.36 million. Bryan Nichols' dream for the Macon Christmas Light Extravaganza has always been to bless the businesses and residents of Macon by bringing more people to our wonderful town.

As we approach the ten year mark for the Macon Christmas Light Extravaganza, Bryan Nichols had this to say: "It's hard to believe we're celebrating a decade of the Macon Christmas Light Extravaganza. We've added new displays and attractions each year, and this year will be no exception. We have grand dreams for the lights, but ultimately we're just so grateful for the success the lights have had. The whole reason I wanted to start the Macon Christmas Light Extravaganza was to bring people to the town we love. And my hope was always that those people who came and saw Macon would also see - and enjoy - all that our amazing businesses and restaurants have to offer. I'm proud of the economic impact the Macon Christmas Light Extravaganza has had - not because a big number is impressive, but because that number represents businesses supported, money staying in our community. We're excited for year ten and can't wait to see you downtown!"

Macon native Elizabeth Schorr and her talented team at ES&Co. designed the Macon Christmas Light Extravaganza logo, and they were eager to put a creative spin on the design to commemorate the 10th anniversary. Elizabeth had this to say about the Macon Christmas Light Extravaganza: "Congratulations to our community on 10 incredible years of the Macon Christmas Light Extravaganza! My family treasures the tradition of the Christmas lights in downtown Macon, so it is an honor for the ES&Co. team to help celebrate this milestone. Here's to generations of families continuing to make memories under the lights for years to come."

You can also see the 10th anniversary logo on this year's limited edition ornament, created by talented local artist Debbie Groves. This year's ornament features the iconic ornament display on the corner of Third and Poplar Streets in downtown Macon, as well as Santa riding in a horse and carriage. This year's design highlights the feelings of nostalgia and holiday joy that the Macon Christmas Light Extravaganza brings to everyone who visits.The 10th year of the Macon Christmas Light Extravaganza kicks off on Friday, November 27, 2026. We'll continue the wonderful tradition of opening our season with a FREE, outdoor concert where the talented Macon Pops perform their songs in sync with the lights. As always, the Macon Christmas Light Extravaganza is free and open to the public. This season of the lights will run from November 27, 2026 to January 3, 2027.
