Jeff Nosek Named Deputy Group Head of Hearst Transportation

NEW YORK, December 18, 2025 - Hearst today announced that Jeff Nosek, president of MOTOR Information Systems, has been promoted to deputy group head of Hearst Transportation for the automotive businesses, effective January 1, 2026.

The announcement was made by Steven R. Swartz, president and chief executive officer of Hearst, and Sean Lanagan, who will become president of Hearst Transportation February 1.

"Jeff has done an impressive job leading MOTOR and has built a great record of success throughout his tenure at the company," Lanagan said. "In addition to his responsibilities as president of MOTOR, Jeff's expanded role as deputy group head will include oversight of Black Book, where he will work closely with Black Book President Jared Kalfus."

Hearst announced December 11 that Lanagan, CAMP Systems International president and CEO, would succeed Thomas D. Cross at the end of January.

Hearst Transportation, the transportation data and software business within Hearst, brings together four key companies: CAMP Systems International, which specializes in aviation maintenance tracking and health-monitoring software; Black Book, a provider of vehicle valuation and analytics; MOTOR Information Systems, focused on automotive parts and repair data; and Noregon Systems, delivering diagnostics and prognostics solutions for heavy-duty trucks.

"I'm honored to take on this new role," Nosek said. "I look forward to collaborating with Sean, Jared and my colleagues across our automotive businesses to continue driving growth, deliver even greater value to our customers and capitalize on the exciting opportunities ahead."

Nosek has more than two decades of expertise in software, data and professional services across the automotive and manufacturing sectors. He joined MOTOR in 2016 and served as senior vice president of sales and executive vice president of revenue. He was instrumental in repositioning MOTOR's data licensing business toward a cloud-enabled Software as a Service (SaaS) and Data as a Service (DaaS) model, leading to significant new customer acquisition and revenue growth. Nosek was named president of the company in December 2021.

Prior to joining MOTOR, Nosek was vice president of sales for CDK Global and vice president of sales for Automatic Data Processing (ADP) before that. He also held various sales leadership positions within Compuware.

Nosek holds a bachelor's degree from Central Michigan University and is a graduate of Hearst's executive development program, Hearst Management Institute.
