Washington, D.C. - The District of Columbia Office of Cable Television, Film, Music and Entertainment (OCTRFME) is proud to announce Berhta, the former BET Studios, as the January 2026 Location of the Month recognizing their rich cultural legacy, film-friendly infrastructure, and dynamic potential for productions, live events, and creative convenings.
Located in Washington, D.C. Berhta spans 16,000 square feet and features a versatile dark room stage, multiple green rooms, and fully equipped hair, makeup, and dressing room facilities. Designed with production needs in mind, the space can seamlessly transform into a film or television studio, concert hall, or convention venue, offering ample on-site parking outdoor space to support large scale projects.

With deep roots in Black media history, the location once served as a cornerstone for BET's groundbreaking programming and creative output in the nation's capital. Today, that legacy continues under new ownership.
