Gov. Mike Braun Orders Flags Lowered to Half-Staff in Honor of Lawrence County Councilman
INDIANAPOLIS - Governor Mike Braun has directed flags to be flown at half-staff in Lawrence County in honor of County Councilman Scott Smith, who died on Sunday, Dec. 28, at the age of 59.
Governor Braun has ordered flags to be lowered at all state facilities in Lawrence County from sunrise to sunset on the day of Smith's funeral, Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026.
Governor Braun encourages all Hoosiers in Lawrence County to help honor Smith by lowering flags to half-staff at their homes and businesses.
