ADVISORY - HARRISBURG - Governor Shapiro to Sign Executive Orders Expanding Protections for Pennsylvanians with Disabilities

Governor Josh Shapiro will take action to strengthen the rights and protections of Pennsylvanians with disabilities and autism.

Since taking office, Governor Shapiro has secured historic investments to expand intellectual disabilities and autism services and his 2026-27 proposed budget continues this work by increasing funding for the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation by $1 million - bringing the total to $49.7 million - and investing $3 million for the modernization of PA Link, helping people with disabilities and older adults find information and connect to support and services in their community.
