Signarama's Kathy Evert Receives ABI Chair's Unity Award

DES MOINES, Iowa - The Iowa Association of Business and Industry (ABI) honored Kathy Evert, owner of Signarama in Ankeny, with the 2026 Chair's Unity Award during the Chair's Dinner at ABI's 2026 Taking Care of Business Conference in Iowa City.

Presented by ABI Board Chair Kellan Longenecker, the award recognizes an individual whose leadership and commitment to Iowa's business community exemplify the spirit of collaboration and service.

"This year's conference theme is 'Business as a Team Sport,' and Kathy exemplifies what that means," said Longenecker. "Her commitment to collaboration, community engagement and advancing manufacturing across Iowa reflects the spirit of this award."

Evert was recognized for her support of the ABI Foundation's efforts to promote manufacturing and develop Iowa's future workforce. Through Signarama's sponsorship of the Foundation's Elevate Tour, including the donation of the custom RV wrap, she helped create a highly visible platform showcasing manufacturing careers and opportunities across the state. She also serves as a member of the ABI Board of Directors and volunteers with the Foundation's Crystals of Innovation program, helping connect students with career pathways in manufacturing.

A dedicated ABI member and advocate, Evert is known for her active involvement and willingness to support initiatives that strengthen Iowa's business community. As a small business owner, she exemplifies the entrepreneurial spirit that drives Iowa's economy while remaining committed to serving others and giving back.

"Kathy understands that meaningful progress happens when people work together," Longenecker said. "Her commitment to Iowa manufacturing, workforce development and the business community makes her a deserving recipient of this award."

The Chair's Unity Award recognizes individuals whose dedication and service strengthen ABI and advance Iowa's business community through partnership and shared purpose.
