Attorney General Griffin Announces Conviction of Piggot Man for Medicaid Fraud

LITTLE ROCK - Attorney General Tim Griffin issued the following statement announcing the conviction of a Piggot man for Medicaid fraud: On June 8, Mikel Rios, 35, of Piggot, pleaded guilty to Medicaid Fraud, a Class C felony. He was sentenced to three years of probation, a $500 fine plus court costs, and restitution totaling $4,273.75. Rios billed Medicaid for personal care services he claimed were provided in clients' homes, despite data showing he was not at or near the residences when the services were allegedly performed.
