Orange County Animal Services to debut new mobile unit.
Orange County, FL - Orange County Animal Services (OCAS) today announced its new mobile veterinarian unit will debut at the 12th Annual Barktoberfest on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2025, at Lake Eola. This annual celebration highlights the invaluable partnerships OCAS has with the animal rescue community, showcasing pets ready to be adopted and making the community aware of the importance of finding homes for animals in need.
"Barktoberfest is our longest-running event, and it's been a joy to see this event grow and evolve over the years," said Diane Summers, manager for Orange County Animal Services. "Year after year, we see thousands of people turn out to support our rescue groups, pet-related vendors, and shelter, with dozens adopting a pet in need."
Various rescue groups will be present, along with several different breeds, ages and sizes of pets ready for adoption. OCAS' staff will provide free, complimentary vaccinations* and microchipping to qualified dogs of Orange County residents (some exclusions apply). This mobile unit will also provide support for the shelter's quarterly "Arm Your Pet" event.
More information about Barktoberfest can be found on the shelter's website.
