Hy-Vee Employee Honored for 50 Years of Service with Picture on Semi-Trailer

GRIMES, Iowa (June 24, 2026) - The helpful smile of a longtime Hy-Vee employee is now featured on the side of a semi-trailer to recognize his decades of service to the company.

Stan Wright's picture was unveiled Wednesday during a celebration at Hy-Vee's Helpful Smiles Technology Innovation Center in Grimes. Stan, who worked as a data center supervisor, recently retired after more than 50 years of employment at Hy-Vee.

Hy-Vee first started featuring long-serving employees on semi-truck wraps in 1997, and it has since become a cherished tradition at the company.
