FedEx Debuts at SEMICON Taiwan 2025

Taipei, September 10, 2025 -Federal Express Corporation (FedEx), one of the world's largest express transportation companies, is making its debut at SEMICON Taiwan 2025 at Booth No. R7924, underscoring the strategic importance of logistics in supporting the semiconductor industry's global growth.

At SEMICON Taiwan, FedEx showcases its extensive global network and precision handling capabilities for high-value shipments that help semiconductor companies navigate increasingly complex cross-border supply chain challenges. Semiconductor products are highly sensitive to vibration, temperature fluctuations, humidity, and electrostatic discharge. Leveraging its extensive experience, FedEx provides specialized services including anti-shock packaging, temperature-controlled shipping, and end-to-end digital tools to ensure the secure and timely delivery of critical shipments, enabling manufacturers to meet tight production schedules efficiently.

"This marks FedEx's debut at SEMICON Taiwan, and we are excited to engage with key players across the semiconductor industry," said Paul Sousa, managing director of FedEx Taiwan. "Leveraging our deep logistics expertise and extensive global network, FedEx is committed to supporting Taiwan's semiconductor sector with innovative, intelligent supply-chain solutions that improve efficiency, solve operational challenges, and advance sustainability. We empower our customers to build more resilient and agile supply chains, helping them maintain a competitive edge in the global market."

As the world's leading semiconductor manufacturing hub, Taiwan plays a pivotal role in the global technology supply chain. According to the Market Intelligence and Consulting Institute (MIC), Taiwanese manufacturers are projected to account for approximately 80% of global production capacity by 2030[1]. Rising demand for artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC) is placing increasing pressure on supply chains to be faster, more resilient, and more secure.

FedEx is highlighting its FedEx Surround® Monitoring and Intervention (MI) solution*, now deployed in Taiwan to meet the semiconductor industry's growing demand for high visibility and reliability. Powered by SenseAware ID sensors and near real-time data analytics, this solution enables continuous monitoring and proactive intervention for global shipments. SenseAware ID uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology to transmit precise location data every two seconds-far exceeding traditional scanning methods-providing unprecedented transparency and responsiveness for high-value, critical deliveries.

Aligned with SEMICON Taiwan's focus on sustainable manufacturing, FedEx is also showcasing its advancements in deploying lower-emissions logistics innovations. In Taiwan, FedEx is strengthening operational resilience by adopting innovative and lower-emissions transportation technologies. These initiatives support FedEx's goal to achieve carbon-neutral operations globally by 2040.

Locally, FedEx has introduced 12 fully electric FUSO delivery trucks, becoming one of the first international logistics providers in Taiwan to use EVs for regular delivery operations. The company has also collaborated with Gaius Automotive to integrate Rapide 3 electric tricycles into their urban delivery fleet. Additionally, FedEx offers the FedEx Sustainability Insights (FSI) tool, enabling customers to access carbon emissions data to help make informed shipping decisions **.
