Chinese Consul General in Cape Town Ren Faqiang Visits the Cape Town City Ballet
On July 9, 2026, Consul General Ren Faqiang visited the Cape Town City Ballet, where he met with Acting Artistic Director Tracey Li and watched a rehearsal of a ballet production.
Consul General Ren noted that this year marks the "China-Africa People-to-People Exchange Year" and that the Consulate General supports cooperation between the Cape Town City Ballet and its Chinese counterparts to promote cultural exchanges between China and South Africa. Tracey Li said she hoped to use the Consulate General's platform to strengthen exchanges with outstanding Chinese ballet companies.
