A free, day-long, all-ages festival and cultural celebration bringing together free live music, food, dancing, family workshops and community programming to uplift Latino culture and neighborhood connection for all New Yorkers

SCHEDULE
*11-11:45am: Music lessons geared towards early childhood; intro to rhythms and hand instruments
*12-12:45pm: Music lessons for 6 and older; percussion-based with drum circle, call-and-response and singing
*1-1:30pm: Salsa dancing lessons taught by members of leading NYC dance company Ballet Hispanico
*1-4pm: Local fine artist creates a piece of artwork to be raffled off at the end of the day
*1-5pm: Major League Dominos hosts an introduction to the game for children, followed by a tournament open to all attendees with trophy for the winner
*1:30-3pm: Latin dishes including tacos, pernil, ceviche, and empanadas provided by local restaurants available to attendees for free
*1:45-3:20pm: Belongo's youth ensemble the Fat Cats performs with Salsa band, attendees are invited to the dance floor
3:30-4pm: Ballet Hispanico dancers perform
*4:15-5pm: 6-time GRAMMY-winner and 2-time Latin GRAMMY-winner Arturo O'Farrill & the world-famous Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra take the stage. Ballet Hispanico joins in for an improvised performance
*5pm: Giveaway for tickets to Buena Vista Social Club The Musical / Event concludes with closing remarks from hosts and Council Member Shaun Abreu
Pueblo Harlem is presented by Belongó -the NYC-based nonprofit cultural organization founded by pianist and composer Arturo O'Farrill. Belongó brings free music education to thousands of NYC school children , programs music and cultural events across the city, U.S. and internationally, and is also currently building Casa Belongó-its unprecedented cultural and education center in East Harlem that broke ground in February.
