South Dakota Farm Bureau (SDFB) is now accepting applications for its scholarship program. The deadline to apply is March 1, 2026.
High school seniors and college students whose parents or guardians are current members of SDFB and have been for at least two years are invited to apply. There are two types of scholarships available: one is agriculture-focused and the other is community-focused. Students select which scholarship to apply for based on their area of study and experience with agriculture. Awards range from $500-$1,000.
The SDFB scholarship fund was established in 2005 by SDFB past president Richard Ekstrum and his wife Agnes. Richard served as South Dakota Farm Bureau president from 1975-1995.
