Boys & Girls Club Partner for Art Installation with Pueblo Arts Alliance in Mayor Graham’s Office

PUEBLO-On Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, the November installation was hung with Pueblo Arts Alliance in Mayor of Pueblo Heather Graham's office featuring 10 pieces of artwork from Boys & Girls Clubs of Pueblo County. A public open house to showcase the student artwork took place in the afternoon for students, their families, Boys & Girls Clubs of Pueblo County staff, Pueblo Arts Alliance members and Mayor Heather Graham to reveal the artwork.

"As Executive Director of the Pueblo Arts Alliance, it fills me with pride to witness the joy, confidence, and creativity these young artists bring to our community," said Christina McCann, Executive Director of the Pueblo Arts Alliance. "Our partnership with the Boys & Girls Club, supported by the Mayor's Office, represents the heart of what we do, uplifting youth, celebrating art, and building a stronger Pueblo together. The Pueblo Arts Alliance remains committed to nurturing the next generation of young artists and supporting opportunities that elevate their voices and talents."

Pueblo Arts Alliance partnered with Mayor of Pueblo Heather Graham in April of 2024 for a monthly rotating art installation in the lobby of the Mayor's Office in City Hall. Each month features a different artist with the opportunity for the public to purchase artwork through the Pueblo Arts Alliance.

"We are honored to provide this stage for our youth members. Recognition is a critical element of our philosophy of youth development. We're excited to see our visual arts program highlighted in the community," said Angela Giron, President/CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Pueblo County. "And we are proud that we have a Mayor that understands the importance of the arts and youth recognition.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Pueblo County recently partnered with Pueblo City-County Library District at the Robert Hoag Rawlings Library for an art installation during the month of October. Pueblo Arts Alliance curated and selected 10 pieces of artwork by students from multiple clubhouses from that art display at the Rawlings Library to now showcase on a smaller scale in City Hall. The 10 pieces from students will be on display in Mayor Graham's office for the month of November through the second week of December for the public to enjoy.

"I'm so excited to see students' artwork displayed here at City Hall with Boys and Girls Clubs of Pueblo County," said Mayor of Pueblo Heather Graham. "I'm grateful to have Pueblo Arts Alliance coordinate and showcase our many talented artists each month and this unique opportunity to support our local students for November's installation."

The Pueblo Arts Alliance serves as the sole authority in selecting artwork for display and curating the exhibit. Selected artwork rotates monthly to ensure a dynamic display with the Mayor's Office as well as provide continuous opportunities for local artists. Selected artists will receive 70% commission on the sale of their artwork, with the remaining 30% allocated to the Pueblo Arts Alliance for their role in curating and facilitating this display.
