Everytown Endorsements Include Candidates Running in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Nebraska, Ohio, Oregon, and Pennsylvania
NEW YORK - Today, Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund announced its fourth round of endorsements of Moms Demand Action volunteers running for office across the country. The 43 volunteers endorsed today are running for everything from the state legislature to school boards across eleven states, and reflect the growing number of Moms Demand Action volunteers making the move from advocating for gun safety laws to writing them. In the 2026 primaries thus far, 85% of Moms Demand Action volunteers have won their races.
"Every election cycle, more and more Moms Demand Action volunteers are making the leap to elected office, proving that voters will reward candidates who put public safety ahead of the gun lobby," said John Feinblatt, president of Everytown for Gun Safety. "These 42 endorsements across eleven states are proof that our bench of election-ready volunteers has never been deeper, and we're incredibly proud to support their campaigns."
"There is no better training for elected office than years of organizing your community, and Moms Demand Action volunteers have been doing exactly that - showing up, building trust, and winning on gun safety long before they ever decided to run," said Angela Ferrell-Zabala, executive director of Moms Demand Action. "Now we're putting the full force of this movement behind getting them elected."

In 2021, Everytown Victory Fund launched the Demand a Seat educational program to train grassroots volunteers and gun violence survivors to take the next step in their advocacy efforts by running for office and working on campaigns. Since then, the program has trained more than 1,200 volunteers across 47 states and Washington, D.C. During the 2025 election cycle, 163 former Moms Demand Action volunteers were up for election, and 67% won in 23 states. They join the ranks of the more than 600 volunteers from 42 states who have run and won since the Demand a Seat program was launched. All told, 14 states now have five or more former volunteers serving in the legislature.
