AAN & One Nation launch advocacy ad campaign on Soros-backed government shutdown

(WASHINGTON) - American Action Network and One Nation today launched a joint ad campaign blasting Democrats for causing chaos and dysfunction with their government shutdown over taxpayer-funded health care for illegal immigrants.

This is AAN and One Nation's first joint advocacy campaign and underscores conservatives' unified opposition to the shutdown.

The ad spotlights how the Soros-backed, far-left liberal group Indivisible was behind the pressure campaign pushing Democrats to force the government to shut down over their desire to provide taxpayer-funded health care to illegal immigrants.

According to a New York Times/Siena poll, 65% of Americans believe Democrats should not have shut down the government if their demands were not met.

The six-figure campaign will air in the New York and Washington, D.C. media markets on cable and digital.

"Conservatives are a united front against the lunatic leftists in Congress holding government funding hostage," said American Action Network President Chris Winkelman. "Working families are being denied essential services because Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer would rather fight for free health care for illegal immigrants than fund the government. That is wrong, and we are making sure the American people know all about it."

"By voting for this shutdown, Democrats proved the only thing they care about more than Big Government is handing taxpayer health care to illegal immigrants," said One Nation Executive Director Alex Latcham. "Chuck Schumer and his allies have no agenda but chaos, and we have to ensure the American people hold them accountable for their destructive shutdown."
