‘Summer of Imagination: Unearth a Story’ promotes summer reading and engagement May 26 to July 31

Aurora Public Library's Summer of Imagination, the reading and activities program designed to address learning gaps during the summer, returns this year with the theme "Unearth a Story." Starting Tuesday, May 26, participants in the summer reading program can register to receive a free book, while supplies last. Participation in all Summer of Imagination activities is free.

"We are excited to offer another year of excellent summer reading programming to our Aurora community," said Ginger White Brunetti, director of library and cultural services. "The theme for this year, 'Unearth a Story,' highlights what the library does for many in the community: help find their story to lifelong learning, no matter their background."

After a few minutes of registering, participants pick up an activity log filled with reading challenges and engaging activities. After completing the log, they can turn it in at any library branch for a chance to win prizes. Prizes will be drawn after Saturday, Aug. 1. A library card is not needed to register; however, a library card can be requested for those interested.
