The ROC Formalizes Its Strategic Partnership Program Primer with the APO

On 13 January 2026, the APO Director for the Republic of China (ROC), Sheng-Hsiung Hsu, formalized the ROC's Strategic Partnership Program (SPP) Primer with the APO through a signing with APO Secretary-General Dr. Indra Pradana Singawinata during the Secretary-General's visit to the China Productivity Center. This formalization provides a common roadmap for the ROC and the APO to plan and deliver collaborative initiatives in a more strategic and coordinated manner.

Cooperation under the ROC's SPP Primer will focus on two areas: (1) Green Productivity for sustainable transformation and (2) smart manufacturing and industrial innovation. These areas reflect the ROC's emphasis on strengthening sustainable productivity growth while advancing industrial upgrading and competitiveness.

The APO and the ROC will work closely to translate these priorities into practical cooperation activities and measurable outcomes, promoting the adoption of relevant tools, knowledge, and best practices in line with the APO Vision 2030.
