Amazon Devices Climate Tech Accelerator Announces Next Phase with Eight Companies

The Amazon Devices Climate Tech Accelerator, a 16-week program to help climate tech companies fast track their innovations into millions of Amazon devices worldwide, today announced the selection of eight companies advancing into the next phase of the program. These innovative companies will have the opportunity to present their technologies directly to Amazon Devices and Services teams to explore potential integration into millions of Amazon devices.

"We're very excited to see more from these eight companies that all represent exciting decarbonization opportunities for consumer electronics," said Maiken Moller-Hansen, Director of Energy & Sustainability at Amazon. "Our goal with this Accelerator is to find new ways to reduce the carbon impact of how Amazon devices are built, powered, and used. From next-generation battery solutions to breakthrough energy efficiency innovations, these companies are developing new technologies that could help us advance our Climate Pledge goals while delivering exceptional experiences to our customers."

The Amazon Devices Climate Tech Accelerator was launched in March 2025, looking for companies that could support efforts to reduce the carbon impact of millions of Amazon devices. The inaugural 14 companies participating in the accelerator were announced in July 2025. The final cohort of eight was selected after a rigorous first-round pitch event to different Amazon Devices & Services business leaders, using Amazon's own unique pitch and presentation style to highlight how their technology could help Amazon achieve its carbon reduction goals. The cohort will continue hosting virtual workshops with Amazon mentors and leaders ahead of their final pitch to executives in November 2025.

The cohort members selected for the next round of the Accelerator are:

  • Aircarbon
  • Amprius
  • Azumo
  • Elephantech
  • Flint Paper Battery
  • GRST
  • Heartland
  • Jiva Materials
  • Quantum Cool

The Amazon Devices Climate Tech Accelerator Phase One
The Amazon Devices Climate Tech Accelerator kicked off with a two-day intensive about Amazon's customer-obsessed approach in San Francisco. The participants learned about Amazon's PR-FAQ process - the same method used to develop some of the company's most popular products and services. Amazon leaders took the cohort through detailed training on how to write documents as Amazon leaders would, working backwards from what provides the best customer experience and value.
Beyond the document writing process, cohort members were paired up with mentors from Amazon Devices & Services, MIT and Newlab, as well as took tours of Amazon's device labs and offered hands-on experience with the latest Amazon devices.

Keep an eye out for more news on our Amazon Devices Climate Tech Accelerator in the coming months.
