Use Only Approved Compostable Liners

To help reduce contamination in the Food and Garden Organics stream, residents should only use Council-approved compostable liners in their kitchen caddy and green-lidded organics bin.

The following items should not be placed in the organics bin:

  • Plastic bags
  • Biodegradable bags
  • Non-approved liners

Only approved compostable liners break down correctly during processing and help ensure collected material can be successfully turned into compost products.
