Apply for Simi Valley’s Special Event Support Program Grants

The City of Simi Valley is now accepting applications for the 2026 Special Event Support Program Grants, offering funding to support local non-profit organizations in hosting community events that enrich the quality of life for Simi Valley residents.

"Simi Valley's community events are part of what makes our community so special. They bring neighbors together, celebrate our shared values, and support the non-profit organizations that give back every day," said Mayor Dee Dee Cavanaugh. "Through this grant program, the City is proud to invest in the creativity and commitment of local groups working to make a positive impact."

A total of $25,000 in funding is available to eligible nonprofit organizations recognized by the Internal Revenue Service. The program is designed to encourage events that foster community spirit, promote cultural and recreational engagement, and strengthen connections among residents.

Applications will be reviewed by the Special Event Support Review Committee, which includes representatives from each of the City's four Neighborhood Councils and the Council On Aging. The Committee is tentatively scheduled to hear applicant presentations on December 10, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room at City Hall, before forwarding funding recommendations to the City Council for consideration in January 2026.

The deadline to apply is Sunday, November 30, 2025.
