A public hearing to consider the possible pardon of sentence for Amari Seals
The Michigan Parole Board will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., to consider the possible pardon of sentence for Amari Seals. The hearing will be conducted via video using Microsoft Teams.
Those planning to access the hearing must complete the online registration form no later than January 23, 2026. Public hearing guidelines and access information can be found here.
Amari Seals was sentenced to a term of 5 years to 8 years for the crime of Assault with Intent to Commit Murder. Amari Seals was sentenced on June 16, 1998, out of Muskegon County.
Brian Shipman, Chairman of the Michigan Parole Board, will conduct the hearing under the provisions of MCLA 791.244 prior to any recommendation for executive clemency by the Parole Board.
This hearing is required by state law prior to consideration of any pardon by the Governor.
When logging into the hearing, your video camera must be turned off and audio muted to eliminate distraction during the hearing.
