WASHINGTON, D.C. - Families USA is pleased to announce the appointment of Jennifer Sullivan as Senior Policy Advisor, Insurance Markets and Regulation.

Sullivan brings significant experience in health policy and health care access. Most recently, she served as Director of Health Coverage Access at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP), where she led efforts to expand affordable health coverage. Before that, she held leadership roles at Enroll America, directing the organization's policy team and collaborating with a broad network of partners to maximize enrollment in health coverage through the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Sullivan previously served as a Senior Health Policy Analyst at Families USA, and the organization is proud to welcome her back in this new leadership role, making this transition a homecoming.

"We are thrilled to welcome Jenny back to Families USA in her new role as senior policy advisor of insurance market and regulations," said Anthony Wright, executive director of Families USA . "Her deep expertise in health policy, extensive experience advancing access to affordable health coverage, and long-standing commitment to our mission make her an invaluable addition to our team. Hiring Jenny, a national expert and leader on health coverage in general and the ACA specifically, shows how Families USA is strengthening our capacity to advance access and affordability for consumers in the current and future fights on health reform."

Throughout her career, Sullivan has built extensive expertise in health policy analysis, legislative and regulatory strategy, and coalition building. In her new role, she will advise Families USA's executive leadership and policymakers on insurance market trends, legislative developments, and regulatory strategies that advance affordable, high-quality health care. Her appointment reflects Families USA's continued investment in strengthening its policy expertise on the evolving insurance market and regulatory landscape to better inform policy analysis, public communications, and advocacy efforts.

Sullivan holds a Master of Health Science in Health Policy from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Kalamazoo College.

"At a time when critical health programs are under prolonged threat, and health care affordability ranks high on so many Americans' list of worries, it's an honor to return to Families USA to advocate for policies that support high-quality, affordable health care and improved health for all," said Jennifer Sullivan. "I look forward to working with the talented team here, as well as health care advocates around the county, to defend and expand access to comprehensive coverage and build responsive, patient-centered systems that advance health justice and economic security."
