Ahead of the busy shopping season, we're introducing updates in Gmail to help you stay on top of deliveries and find the most relevant deals and offers.
First, we're rolling out a new view that brings all your purchase and delivery updates together in one place. This will give you a bird's eye view of all your upcoming package deliveries in one simple, organized list. Don't worry - we'll continue to show packages that are set to arrive within 24 hours at the top of your primary inbox, as well as in a summary card within your purchase emails. This is an entirely new view that lets you see all purchase-related emails and package updates in one simple, streamlined interface.
If you're a fan of order tracking in Gmail, we think you're going to love this update. This new view starts rolling out today on mobile and web to users around the world with personal Google accounts.
Pictured on the left is the inbox purchase view with three receipt emails and four summary cards of packages arriving soon. Pictured on the right is the left menu on Gmail showing the new "Purchases" view.
We're also updating the Promotions category in Gmail. Soon, you'll be able to sort by "most relevant" promotional emails, making it easier to see updates from senders and brands that matter most to you - including ones you engage with the most. We'll also incorporate helpful "nudges," will highlight upcoming deals and timely offers so you don't miss out.
While we're excited about this new experience, we want to give users control over how they want these emails to be sorted. If you prefer to see these emails like they are today, you can simply select the option to sort promotional emails by "most recent" instead of "most relevant."
These updates will start rolling out in the coming weeks on mobile to users in their personal Google accounts.
The Promotional tab is sorted by "most relevant" with a card at the top of the view showing "Top deals for you" and a code from FareWell.
There's a lot to keep track of in your everyday life, and as we head back to school and into the busy holiday months. We hope these updates create an even more personalized, helpful inbox experience.
