Lively Technical College Celebrates Success of Second Annual Titans Rise Gala

Lively Technical College recently celebrated its second annual Titans Rise Gala on Friday, September 18. This year's theme "Forging Futures: A Gala Honoring Titans of Industry" celebrated the skilled professionals shaping the Big Bend region, while also highlighting the impact of technical education in preparing students for high-demand careers.

The event offered businesses and community organizations an opportunity to show their support for workforce development, connect with industry and community leaders, and invest directly in the next generation of skilled professionals.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of sponsors, donors and friends of Lively, the event raised more than $84,000 to support student scholarships, workforce training opportunities, and program enhancements that will help Lively students pursue their education and prepare for successful careers.

"This year's Titans Rise Gala was a wonderful reflection of what happens when our community comes together to support our students and the future of our workforce," said BJ Van Camp, director of Lively Technical College. "We are grateful to everyone who helped make this evening possible and continues to invest in the success of Lively students."

A Scholarship Paddle Raise served as the mission moment of the evening, with proceeds benefiting three Lively scholarships: the Lively General Scholarship, Emily Lively Scholarship and Terrell Family Memorial Scholarship.

The gala also featured the much anticipated presentation of the Titans Rise Award to Alexis Orellana of Danfoss Turbo Corp., a recent graduate of Lively's HVAC program who exemplifies the impact of technical education and the success of Lively graduates in the workforce.

Lively Technical College extends its appreciation to the sponsors, donors, volunteers, students, staff and community partners who helped make the 2026 Titans Rise Gala possible. Their support helps Lively expand opportunities for students while strengthening the skilled workforce throughout the region.
