Culvert Installation Prompts Closure of Cusick Road in Blount County
Motorists traveling on Cusick Road in Blount County should be aware of upcoming road construction activities that will have a temporary impact on traffic.
Beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 17, Cusick Road will be closed between the Regal Drive roundabout and North Gate Lane to allow for the installation of a precast box culvert. Motorists will be detoured around the work zone via North Wright Road and Northpark Boulevard, Alcoa Highway (US 129/State Route 115), Pellissippi Parkway (State Route 162), and Hunt Road (State Route 335).
This road closure is expected to remain in place until 5 a.m. on Monday, July 20.
This schedule is contingent on favorable weather conditions. Motorists are advised to expect delays and use extreme caution in this area as workers will be present.
