Santa Monica Public Library hosts financial education workshop series at Fairview Branch

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (Oct. 7, 2026) - Santa Monica Public Library will host a three-part financial education workshop series this fall at the Fairview Branch, 2101 Ocean Park Blvd., offering community members practical information and strategies for planning major financial milestones, protecting their families and preparing for the future.

The free series will be led by Financial Representative Fabrizzia Kaiser Soto, with an estate planning workshop featuring Attorney Dominic Rodono. The workshops are designed to provide accessible financial education and an opportunity for attendees to ask questions and learn about strategies they can consider for their own financial goals.

The series at the Fairview Branch includes:

Funding Your Child's College Education
Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2 - 3 p.m.
Families are invited to learn about educational savings accounts and flexible strategies for preparing for the costs of a child's future education. The workshop explores options that can be considered whether a child ultimately chooses a traditional four-year college, trade school or another educational path. A question-and-answer session follows the presentation.

Estate Planning Basics: What You Need, What Can Go Wrong, and How to Protect Your Family
Wednesday, Nov. 4, 4 - 5 p.m.
Financial Representative Fabrizzia Kaiser Soto shares how to protect your assets and strategies to distribute assets directly to your family and friends. Attorney Dominic Rodono presents estate planning made simple. Rodono specializes in probate, trust litigation and estate administration and focuses on helping families protect their legacies. A question-and-answer session follows the presentation.

Planning for Retirement
Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2 - 3 p.m.
The series concludes with a workshop focused on preparing for a long retirement and planning for rising costs and unexpected expenses. Learn about strategies for preparing for retirement and protecting your income over the long term. A question-and-answer session follows the presentation.

Financial Professional Fabrizzia Kaiser Soto takes a collaborative approach to helping clients achieve their long-term financial goals, assisting them in defining clear objectives, crafting strategies aligned with their risk tolerance, and implementing solutions tailored to their specific timelines.
