The Center for Global Engagement will host a month-long celebration in April to commemorate 15 years of service as a U.S. Passport Acceptance Facility. Boise State has been helping community members obtain their passports since 2011, making international travel more accessible for students, faculty, staff and the broader Boise community.
Over the past 15 years, Boise State's Global Learning office has awarded approximately $425,000 in scholarship funds generated from passport acceptance services. These scholarships have directly supported students pursuing international education opportunities and study abroad programs.
Boise State will host Passport Saturdays every Saturday throughout April 2026, providing convenient weekend access to passport services for busy families and working professionals.
On Friday, April 18, Boise State will host a special passport event featuring complimentary passport photos for all applicants. This exclusive offer provides significant savings for families and individuals preparing their passport applications.
"Our April celebration reflects our ongoing commitment to providing accessible, convenient passport services to everyone in our community," said Passport Program Manager Ami Tain.
You can schedule a passport application appointment online. The facility welcomes all applicants regardless of university affiliation.
As a designated U.S. Passport Acceptance Facility, Boise State University processes first-time passport applications, renewals for damaged, lost, or stolen passports, and applications for minors. This service is an integral part of the Center for Global Engagement's community outreach efforts, supporting everything from study abroad programs to family vacations and business travel.
