KARIMUN -- Rafiz Said Agil (14) felt grateful when he received prayer equipment assistance from PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk. During the holy month of Ramadan, the support in the form of caps, sarongs, and educational assistance for Tahfiz Al-Qur'an students has become new motivation for him to continue memorizing the holy verses of the Qur'an.
For Rafiz, the assistance is not just prayer equipment. He feels care and prayers from people who support his journey as a Qur'an memorizer.
"Thank you to PT TIMAH for the assistance that has been given to me. There is a cap and a sarong that I will use for prayer and while memorizing the Qur'an at the boarding school," said Rafiz with a bright smile.
The student of Darultifil Qur'an Wasunnah Islamic Boarding School began memorizing the Qur'an at the age of 11. Now, at 14 years old, he has successfully memorized five juz of the Qur'an.
"Alhamdulillah, I have memorized five juz. I enjoy memorizing the Qur'an and I am grateful for this assistance. May PT TIMAH receive blessings," he said.
For Rafiz, attention like this means a lot. Although this is the first time he has received assistance from PT TIMAH, he hopes that support like this can continue so that more Tahfiz students can benefit from it.
"I hope PT TIMAH will continue to provide assistance like this to other Qur'an memorizers so we can be even more motivated to learn. May PT TIMAH become more successful and be blessed with abundant fortune," he said.
In his closing prayer, Rafiz also expressed hope that the company will continue to grow and provide benefits for communities around the Kundur area.
"I hope this company runs smoothly, peacefully, and can continue helping the surrounding community," he said.
Rafiz is one of five students who received Tahfiz Al-Qur'an social assistance from PT TIMAH. The assistance was delivered as part of the company's Ramadan Safari activities in the Kundur area, held at Wisma Kundur on Monday (9/3/2026).
The event was attended by Deputy President Director of PT TIMAH Tbk Harry Budi Sidartha, Commissioner of PT TIMAH Rizani Usman, General Manager of Kundur and Belitung Wiyono, Chairman of the Timah Employees Association Riki Febriansyah, leaders of several work units, and the head of Miftahul Ulum Islamic Boarding School, Gus Asep.
In his remarks, Deputy President Director of PT TIMAH Tbk Harry Budi Sidartha said that the Tahfiz Al-Qur'an social assistance is part of the company's corporate social responsibility program focusing on education and religious sectors.
Through the Ramadan Safari activities, the company aims to be closer to the community while also supporting the younger generation who are pursuing religious education.
"We hope this assistance for the young Qur'an memorizers can motivate the students to remain enthusiastic in memorizing and practicing the Qur'an in their daily lives," he said.
The assistance provided includes prayer equipment and educational support for the students so they can focus more on studying and memorizing the Qur'an. (*)
