Lane-Shift To Take Place At Trenton Road And Tylertown Road As Part Of Road-Widening Project

CLARKSVILLE, TN. - A lane-shift will take place at the intersection of Trenton Road at Tylertown Road, beginning Friday, Sept. 19, as part of a road-widening project.

Crews will be working in the southeast corner of the intersection in order to install a junction, eliminating the section of guardrail, which has been repeatedly damaged and repaired, sometimes referred to as 'Gary the Guardrail.'

To ensure a seamless transition, Street Department crews will need to close the north-bound right turn-lane on Trenton Road, resulting in right turns from the northbound through lane. To ensure safety, right turns onto Tylertown Road will be restricted to trucks.

The shift is set to begin Friday Sept. 19th and is expected to last two weeks, with an overnight closure on Tylertown Road Oct. 2nd. The overnight closure will begin at 2 a.m., lasting until 6 a.m.

Drivers are asked to seek alternate routes during this time, use the detours set up on Rosscommon Way, be vigilant of workers and reduced speed limits in the area, and stay up-to-date with the latest news by following us on our media outlets.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to improve our city's infrastructure.
