SAS Championship Brings Increased Traffic to Fred G. Bond Metro Park Area Oct. 12-18

CARY, NC - Drivers and visitors should expect increased traffic around Fred G. Bond Metro Park and Prestonwood Country Club Oct. 12-18 during the 2026 SAS Championship.

The SAS Championship is an official PGA TOUR Champions event that brings professional golfers age 50 and older to Prestonwood Country Club, 300 Prestonwood Parkway. Championship week includes tournament play and community events that draw spectators and visitors from across the Triangle.

Free public parking for the SAS Championship will be available at Bond Park, with shuttle service to the tournament's main entrance. Tournament attendees should follow event signage and directions from parking staff when arriving at the park.

The Cary Senior Center, located inside Bond Park, will also serve as an early voting site Oct. 15-31. Designated voter and curbside parking will be available at the Senior Center. Voters should follow election signage and use the designated voter parking area rather than SAS Championship parking.

Bond Park remains open to the public during the tournament. Visitors who are not attending the SAS Championship or voting should be prepared for increased traffic and changes to parking availability in the park.

Drivers traveling along High House Road, Prestonwood Parkway, and nearby streets are encouraged to allow extra time, watch for temporary traffic and parking signs, and use caution as vehicles enter and exit the area.
