Ascension Florida Names Market CEOs for East and West Florida Markets

Scott Kashman has been named as CEO of Ascension St. Vincent's Health System in Northeast Florida and Will Condon as CEO of Ascension Sacred Heart in Northwest Florida, formalizing dedicated market leadership for each of the health system's two geographic divisions.

The appointments reflect a broader structural change establishing Ascension Florida East and Ascension Florida West as distinct markets - each with different healthcare needs, competitive landscapes and growth opportunities.

Scott Kashman | Ascension St. Vincent's Health System, Jacksonville

Kashman joined Ascension in 2023 as CEO of Ascension St. Vincent's Riverside. Under his leadership, the hospital improved its Leapfrog Health Grade from "C" to "A" and focused on clinical expansion, including advanced care in cancer treatments, brain tumors and cardiovascular care. The market has since secured a new labor and delivery facility at Ascension St. Vincent's St. Johns County, a NICU II expansion at Clay, a new freestanding ER at Beach and Kernan, and expansion of emergency care and primary care footprint across Northeast Florida.

Ascension St. Vincent's Health System includes four hospitals: Ascension St. Vincent's Riverside, Southside, Clay County and St. Johns County.

Will Condon | Ascension Sacred Heart, Pensacola

Condon brings both professional and personal roots to the role. Born and raised in Pensacola, he most recently served as interim market lead following three years as Pensacola market president. During that tenure, he led Sacred Heart Pensacola to become Northwest Florida's only Level I Trauma Center and achieve Level IV Maternal Levels of Care designation. The campus has earned a Leapfrog Health Grade A for five consecutive years and has ranked among the top 50 cardiovascular providers in the country for nine consecutive years.
