The City of Sioux City has received $104,000 from the Iowa Finance Authority's Iowa Homelessness Prevention Fund to assist those who are currently housed within Woodbury County but facing eviction. This funding will provide short-term rental assistance to help stabilize those at risk of losing their homes. Eligible applicants may receive up to two months of back rent and one month of future rent, or one month of back rent and up to two months of future rent.
Applications are available at the Neighborhood Services Division, 521 Nebraska Street, Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Interested applicants may also request an application by calling 712-279-6328 or e-mailing [email protected]. Due to limited funding and anticipated high demand, only fully completed applications will be accepted and placed on the waiting list for assistance. The City of Sioux City would like to thank the Iowa Finance Authority for providing this critical funding to help prevent homelessness and support housing stability in our community.
