CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Dec. 17, 2025) - The South Gulf Cove Lock holiday schedule is as follows:
Christmas Eve - Normal business hours 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
Christmas Day, Dec 25, 2025 will be unmanned
New Year's Eve - Extended hours 7 a.m.-9 p.m.
New Year's Day - Normal business hours 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
The lock can be opened manually when the tender is not on duty. Instructions are attached.
