BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (October 22, 2026) - The Toro Company (NYSE: TTC), a leading global provider of solutions for the outdoor environment, announced that six of its facilities have achieved Zero Waste to Landfill (ZWTL) certification, marking an important milestone in the company's sustainability journey and reinforcing its commitment to reducing environmental impact across global operations.
Zero Waste to Landfill is a multi-year strategic commitment and a key component of The Toro Company's sustainability framework, reflecting the company's purpose of helping customers enrich the beauty, productivity, and sustainability of the land. Through the initiative, the company is working toward its goal of diverting at least 90% of its waste from landfills by 2030. To support this effort, it partnered with Envita Solutions, a leading total waste management provider, to standardize and strengthen practices across operations, and move to a unified enterprise system for managing major waste streams.
The certified facilities include sites in Bloomington, Windom and Shakopee, Minnesota; Orrville, Ohio; Perry, Oklahoma; and Iron Mountain, Michigan. Each location achieved and maintained at least 90% diversion of waste from landfills through a combination of waste reduction, reuse, recycling, composting, energy recovery and other approved diversion methods.
"These achievements reflect the commitment of our teams across the enterprise to advancing environmental sustainability through continuous improvement and collaboration," said Joanna Totsky, vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary at The Toro Company. "By taking a consistent approach to waste reduction, reuse and recycling, we're building momentum toward our Zero Waste to Landfill goal and making meaningful progress toward our long-term environmental sustainability goals."
In 2025, The Toro Company completed an enterprise-wide integration of the waste management platform across its North American operations, bringing greater visibility, governance and consistency to the management of liquid, solid, hazardous, non-hazardous and recyclable materials. The program's early impact has been significant, with participating facilities diverting more than 18,000 tons of waste from landfills in 2025.
"Organizations that set bold sustainability goals and follow through with disciplined execution create meaningful, lasting impact," said Yanet Montanez, senior vice president of international at Envita Solutions. "The Toro Company's achievement of Zero Waste to Landfill certification at these facilities reflects exceptional leadership and a company-wide commitment to environmental stewardship. We appreciate the opportunity to partner with The Toro Company and look forward to supporting its continued sustainability progress."
The six certified sites represent an important step in the company's broader sustainability efforts and provide a model for other locations as the program continues to expand. By leveraging shared best practices, standardized reporting and continuous improvement initiatives, The Toro Company aims to further reduce landfill dependency, while creating environmental and operational value across the enterprise.
