Marcus & Millichap Brokers Sale of Six-Unit Apartment Property in Fort Lauderdale

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Mar. 16, 2026 - Marcus & Millichap (NYSE: MMI), a leading commercial real estate brokerage firm specializing in investment sales, financing, research and advisory services, announced today the sale of Westminster Apartments, a six-unit apartment community in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for $1,485,000.
"Westminster Apartments had been under the same family ownership for more than 60 years, which created a rare opportunity for investors in East Fort Lauderdale," said Austin Michels, associate director investments. "Through our competitive marketing strategy, we generated strong demand immediately, receiving eight written offers within the first week of marketing. The seller ultimately selected an investor who delivered an all-cash offer of $1.485 million, or $247,500 per unit, with no inspection period, a substantial non-refundable deposit, and a 21-day closing."
Michels, along with Brandon Rex, Evan Kristol and Felipe Echarte of Marcus & Millichap's Fort Lauderdale office represented the seller, Carolyn Miehle and procured the private buyer.
Westminster Apartments is located in Fort Lauderdale's Imperial Point neighborhood and consists of two triplex buildings with six units, including four one-bedroom apartments and two two-bedroom units. Built in 1961, recent upgrades include impact windows and a new metal roof. The community is near Commercial Boulevard and U.S. 1.
