HANNIBAL - Weather permitting, as early as October 13, resurfacing operations will working on the in-town section of Route P in Kirksville from Business U.S. 63/Baltimore Street to U.S. Route 63.
While crews are actively working on this urban portion of Route P, motorists will encounter significant delays. Route P traffic is encouraged to avoid the area and use alternate routes to reach their destinations.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restriction in place at the location where crews are actively working. Flaggers and a pilot car will be utilized for traffic control to guide traffic through the work zone. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
The $807,191 contract was awarded to W. L. Miller Company of Hamilton, Illinois and includes the following routes. All work is anticipated to be completed by November 1, 2026.
