NPR-A Impact Mitigation Program Public Scoping Meeting

The Alaska Department of Commerce, Community and Economic Development, Division of Community and Regional Affairs, will hold a public scoping meeting regarding the National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska (NPR-A) Impact Mitigation Program from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026.

The department is seeking input from communities, grantees and other interested parties on opportunities to improve administration of the program, reduce unnecessary administrative burdens and inform potential future regulatory changes.

The meeting will include an overview of the program, applicable statutes and regulations, the administrative timeline and process, and an opportunity for public comment.
