Scientific Sessions 2026 is four full days beginning at 8 a.m. CT, Friday, Nov. 6. Schedule-At-A-Glance

• At least one news briefing is scheduled for early afternoon on Friday, Nov. 6. We recommend planning to arrive on-site by 11 a.m. CT on Friday if you would like to attend the first news briefing, possibly two news briefings on Friday. (Breakfast and lunch will be available on Friday.)

• Media registration/badge pick up will be open on Thursday, Nov. 5, from 1 p.m. - 6 p.m. CT and then daily at 7:30 a.m. CT on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

• This year, more than 80 sessions are scheduled on Friday, Nov. 6, starting at 8 a.m. CT, including symposia on the role of AI in medicine; chronic kidney disease; women's cardiovascular wellness; and brain health.

• About 6 sessions on Friday, Nov. 6 will be offered by the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Medical Society (HCMS).

• Scientific Sessions 2026 Opening Session is at 8 a.m. CT on Saturday, Nov. 7.

• Scientific Sessions 2026 closes at 4:15 pm CT on Monday, Nov. 9.

• Late-Breaking Science will be presented throughout the meeting, Saturday through Monday. Select Scientific Sessions Late-Breaking Science presentations and symposia will be livestreamed; more details will be available soon.

• Nobel Laureate Joshua D. Angrist, Ph.D., Ford Professor of Economics at MIT, will share a presentation titled, "Intentions are Good, Instrumental Variables is Better: Addressing Nonadherence and Crossovers in Clinical Trials," on Sunday, November 8, 9:45 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. CT. Angrist is an Israeli American economist who, together with Guido Imbens, was awarded the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics in 2021 "for methodological contributions to the analysis of causal relationships."

• On Monday, Nov. 9, 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. CT, a Congenital Heart Disease Summit will focus on how evidence, advocacy and innovation can drive meaningful change in pediatric and congenital heart care. Congenital heart disease (CHD) affects 1 in 100 births and demands lifelong, coordinated care.

• On Monday, Nov. 9, 8 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. CT, the Obesity Summit will feature leading experts (TBA) exploring obesity as a critical and modifiable driver of cardiovascular, kidney and metabolic disease. This summit will be focused on actionable insights to optimize treatment approaches, enhance patient engagement and improve outcomes across the continuum.

• Several Guideline sessions will offer in-depth explorations of the Association's latest clinical guidelines and their real-world applications in patient care.

• More leading voices, including clinicians, principal investigators, American Heart Association award recipients, scientific journal editors and thought leaders shaping the future of cardiovascular science, will share notable insights throughout the entire program.

• Innovative additions feature immersive experiences in AI, simulation and guideline-driven care, plus in-depth programming across 21 education communities.
